My Role as an Interior Stylist

My role across all projects with Elegant Cutter | Artstory follows the process from quoting to installation, focusing primarily on decorative accessories to complement artwork.

Firstly, I develop mood intent presentations, consisting of a selection of accessories to propose initial ideas to the client, indicating the colour and style of items that suit the brief. This, alongside assisting with providing accurate costings for linear meters of accessories to create quotations for the client creates the initial stages of the project.

Upon receiving feedback from the client, I then move on to researching the accessories, and utilising FF&E schemes to create an accurate layout presentation, whilst considering size constraints and managing project budgets, to ensure deadlines are met and expectations are managed. These accessories can include, but are not limited to; vases, planting, books, ornaments, cloches with bespoke displays inside, and vintage items. I then scale these accessories and use technical drawings and renders to display these items within the appropriate locations to convey to the client how they will look prior to installation. Once I communicate with the client and receive approval, I then purchase all items, quality check and prepare accessories myself. Often, I will go to site too, styling accessories in situ to compliment lighting, textures, and colours, and adapting layouts to reinforce the overall design concept.
